Maison Margiela
There are more mysteries associated with the Maison Margiela house than with the Bermuda Triangle. The brand, which was born in 1988, became famous for the anonymity of its creator (there are only a few of his photos on the Internet, and the way he responded to messages was exclusively by fax) and clothes made from vintage ball gowns, playing cards, leather butcher's aprons and other objects that Martin Margiela gave a new life to. MMM lines are designated on the labels of the items by numbers (0 — artisanal, also known as couture, 1 — women's, 10 — men's, 11 — women's accessories, 22 — men's accessories, and so on). KM20, by the way, was the first and only store in Russia to present the MMM artisanal collection - the most complex and expensive one. In addition to clothes, the brand produces interior objects (this is the 13th line), for example, photo wallpaper with images of doors or feather pens. Anonymity did not prevent Martin Margiela from working as creative director of Hermès (until 2003), and five years later, in 2008, he left his own brand.
